Join the ASRAB sailing program with the Disabled Sailing Association of Alberta. Feel the fresh breeze off of the water and come enjoy the experience!
Where: South Glenmore Park. The clubhouse is located at the Glenmore Reservoir off 24th Street and 90th Ave. If you are getting a ride or driving, park in the South Glenmore Park lot while Access buses normally drop off by the Glenmore Sailing School (beside it).
Join our weekly walking program and experience the benefits of physical activity while being outdoors! Come and enjoy the fresh air while socializing with members of the ASRAB community. Common walking pathways are the following: Heritage Park, Eau Claire, Edworthy Park and Fish Creek Provincial Park.
Join ASRAB on the water to try out some canoeing and kayaking! All ages welcome, and friends/family members are invited to join as well! Instructors will teach you the basics, and life jackets will be provided. Please bring a change of clothes (just in case!), water and sun screen.
ASRAB is partnering with the Paralympic Sports Association to offer Golf lessons to our members. These lessons are directed towards introducing the game of golf and helping you improve your skills and game. If you have a sighted friend or family member who would like to join you to offer additional guidance/support during the lessons, please bring them, though this is not a requirement to attend the program. The Western Canadian Blind Golf Association will host a Junior Golf Clinic at Westlock Golf Course on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The clinic will feature blind golfers from across Canada & USA. The deadline to register in June 15.
