GOLF

Johanna Camarta

Blind Golf is a wonderful sport for visually impaired or blind individuals from all ages.  The Royal Canadian Golf Rules apply to these golfers as well.  The guide or coach plays a vital role in giving the player as much information as possible. Describing the terrain, giving the direction and the distance, course obstacles, and aids in lining up the player for the shot.

On the green the coach and player work closely together, walking the distance and getting a feel for the slope, from the ball to the pin.

ASRAB will facilitate the sport of Blind Golf in Alberta, please call the Alberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind office at 403-262-5332 or further information.
